We’re looking for a Business Development Associate to help us connect with organizations that need our help. This is a remote, flexible, outbound role focused on identifying and engaging prospective clients.

You’ll be a great fit if you: 

  • Are strategic, self-motivated, and proactive. 
  • Thrive on building authentic relationships through cold outreach, social engagement, and networking. 
  • Know how to open doors and get conversations started with CISOs and other senior decision-makers at mid-sized and lower enterprise companies. 

Your mission: generate leads and book high-quality introductory meetings using research, thoughtful outreach, and consistent follow-up. 

If you're a smart, scrappy prospector who knows how to personalize your approach and drive results, we want to meet you. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Research and identify prospective clients (CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other security and risk decision-makers).
  • Build and manage targeted lead lists using LinkedIn, Crunchbase, and company websites.
  • Craft and send personalized outreach messages (email, LinkedIn, phone, and text).
  • Make cold calls and leave thoughtful, professional voicemails.
  • Follow up persistently and strategically across multiple channels.
  • Set up qualified intro calls for HG’s partners and subject matter experts.
  • Track outreach activity and share weekly progress updates.

Who You Are:

  • 2–5 years of experience in outbound business development or lead generation.
  • Strong writer and communicator who can personalize messaging effectively.
  • Comfortable reaching out directly to senior executives.
  • Self-managed, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Familiar with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Pipedrive, CRM platforms, or outreach tools.
  • Bonus if you’ve worked with clients in cybersecurity, compliance, or risk.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Contract role with hourly or monthly retainer.
  • Performance-based bonuses or commissions available.
